Juice is a top provider of content processing services for the world’s leading broadcasters, streaming platforms, and cable companies. We work with content owners to package and deliver content for linear, VOD, mobile and the OTT platforms including iTunes, Netflix and Amazon. We currently have an opening for a Media Operations Technician (Broadcast / Streaming). This position will be located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.


Position Overview


The Media Operations Technician will be responsible for supporting the distribution and servicing of digital assets to broadcasters, cable companies, and streaming clients located in Australia, New Zeleand and Asia Pacific at-large. The position will be responsible for liasing with the aforementioned clients to ensure that content release schedules and ad-hoc launches are met. The position will be required to utilize various internal / external systems to enable delivery of assets in either a packaged / consolidated manner to the required end-point specification.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate delivery of packaged assets as required per specialized client requirements
  • Order management, including fulfillment coordination from sourcing, ingest, quality control, encoding through to on time delivery to the end client
  • Embed as required within client (content providers, broadcasters, etc) organization to support fulfillment activities
  • Timely update of delivery status on non-integrated orders
  • Place sourcing orders with the appropriate vendors (internal and external) to ensure the expedited delivery of content to meet pre-determined broadcast / release schedules
  • Orders must be accurate, timely and placed with urgency as determined by various business and internal parameters
  • Research the appropriate asset sources to be used in content fulfillment activities
  • Track and provide reports as requested by internal / external stakeholders
  • Providing input and feedback on existing processes and tools to assist with future process enhancements


Qualifications


  • Diploma or Degree in Film & TV, Broadcast or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5+ years experience working with various media encoders and NLE systems: Vantage, Episode, Final Cut Pro, Premiere, AVID Pro-Tools
  • Experience working for a broadcaster in the aforementioned countries (AU / NZ) / region (APAC) considered an asset
  • OTT, IPTV, and VOD experience
  • Knowledge of Tape Libraries and File Storage Systems
  • Knowledge of Asset Management Technology
  • Knowledge of common metadata formats and schemas 
  • Work with scheduling automation systems
  • Excellent teamwork, written and verbal communication
  • Strong independent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
  • Experience with collaborative project management and ticketing tools (i.e. Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint, Smartsheet, ZenDesk)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
